PublishConnect enables the automation of richly designed publications from XML source content by providing the integration betweenTypéfi Publish and an EMC Documentum repository.

How It Works

Using configuration-driven components, PublishConnect manages print job requests, handles the retrieval of source content from the repository, executes XSLT to prepare source content for Typéfi Publish, submits and monitors print jobs in Typéfi Publish, and stores Adobe InDesign and PDF files generated by Typéfi Publish back into the repository.

Configuration and Customization

XML configuration files are used to control how the user interface allows users to request print jobs in the repository and how the content server processes each print job. In addition to configuration files, customization is enabled for handling business requirements for content retrieval and storage, custom publish request handling, and support for custom XSLT needed to prepare source XML.
